Bees Universe

John Alecu, also known as the "honey man," has been in the honey business for 30 years strong. John's beeyards are located in the neighbourhood of wild flower fields, between Toronto and Innisville, Ontario. When I asked John how he got started, he told me that it's a family run business that began in Romania. John sells his honey and natural bee products at the Stonegate Farmers' Market, as well as at several other farmers' markets in Toronto.

Casalba Gourmet Pasta Sauce

Lucy Czerwinski has been in the pasta sauce business for the last year. Her sauce is home-made, right in Etobicoke! Lucy sells her pasta sauce at the Stonegate Farmers' market as well as to a long list of private customers, family and friends.

Demkomart

Daniel and Margaret Demkowicz, from the Holland Marsh area, sell delicious, chemical-free fruits and vegetables every week at the market.

Dufferin Grove Park Bread

Stonegate Food Access Committee members Violetta Cardella and Lala Schultz rise early each Tuesday to bake at the Dufferin Grove wood-fired bake ovens, bringing freshly made breads to the Stonegate Farmers' Market. Vi and Lala volunteer their time to not only make but also sell the breads each week at the market to raise awareness of bake ovens and to share their love of baking breads.

Fisher's Farm

Fisher's Farm has been attending farmers' markets for the past 18 years. Selling a wide range of products including sweet corn, tomatoes, melons, strawberries, squash, cut flowers (glads, and sunflowers bouquets), and ornamental gourds and corn stalks.

 Krista Harrington, owner and culinary artist, is committed to making quality versatile jams and salsas that will delight your senses!

Magaza Food

Verica and her family have been running a family business for the past three years. During the summer months, they sell many different types of mouthwatering baked goods at the Stonegate Farmers' Market and during the winter, they bake and sell out of their store called Magaza Kitchen, located in St. Catherines, Ontario. All food prepared by Magaza Foods is hand mixed and unprocessed.

Natures Way Organics

Ed Dirse offers fresh seasonal organic vegetables as a healthy choice for healthy people. Ed has been growing organic produce for the past 9 year but has been farming for the past 35. Everything he sells and grows is 100% organic. His farm is located on the North Shore of Lake Erie, at Long Point. When I ask Ed why he went organic, Ed explained "overtime I knew it was just the right thing to do and I really wanted to stop using chemicals." Ed's veggies are available at the Stonegate Farmers' Market, as well as at various health food stores in Ontario.

Warner's Farm

Started in 1920, this family-run farm produces apples, peaches, pears, plums, nectarines, grapes, apricots, quinces, nuts, currants as well as a few berries. Supplying customers high quality produce, Warner's Farm aims to allow fruits to tree ripen to give them maximum flavour and sweetness. Now under ownership of Torrie Warner, grandson of original owner, Warner's Farm sell their produce at several markets in the GTA, including the Stonegate Farmers' Market.
